If you bought a computer, a CD player or DVD player here in Canada between 2004 and 2010, you can get a $20 refund for every one you bought as part of a $29.7 million dollar class-action settlement involving some of the biggest electronics brands. BenQ, Hitachi-LG, NEC, Panasonic, Phillips, Pioneer, Quanta, Sony, TEAC and Toshiba Samsung have agreed to pay the money to settle the lawsuit which claims they conspired to artificially inflate the price of optical disc drives. To claim your $20 per ODD refund (you get $20 if you have no receipts), go to ODDclassAction.com before Nov. 14th.
