OK, that's what I wrote, however the intended meaning was to suggest that the "First Lady" is more deserving of prison time than the man who is alleged to have assaulted the girl, and that the girl is more of an "idiot" than the man who probably tried to push her out of the way while she attempted to silence his protest in Laura's defense. If the girl assaulted the man while he was protesting, then she should be charged with assault no matter if she is confined to a wheel chair or not. What we're getting is only one side of a highly biased story since the man in question has not been given the opportunity to speak in his defense.

The rest of my posts that follow should back up this view point.

For example, what's going on in Darfour is not in slightest to be considered "inaction" for humanitarian reasons. The media coverage is part of a propaganda campaign designed to convince us that it's morally worth intervening in what is actually a power struggle with China over strategic regional value.

The media is spinning the Darfur story any way it can to manufacture consent for military "intervention" not unlike what has taken place in Afghanistan and Iraq. The reason for Bush's "inaction" is because the USA military is currently too bogged down at the moment as it fights two major wars that are proving to be very problematic and costly, and it has very little international support for more.

So instead of telling us the real news about greed and power, the media instead promotes any story it can find that paints the anti-war crowd to be lunatics and uncaring idealists who don't want to protect women and children from evil.

Darfur is a UN operation and the African Union has said again and again that they do not want western troops in Africa.

No I'm not. I'm simply wondering what the full story is, since I've only seen one side of it, and it's coming for a source that's not credible in the slightest.

As for Darfur, when I see so much media attention directed at a particular region along with calls to intervene militarily, then there's usually a reason for it that has absolutely nothing to do with humanitarianism and everything to do with theft.
