Johnnybgoodaaaaa Johnnybgoodaaaaa:

How about you compare a city like Dallas with Vancouver. I used to live in Dallas, and as you might know, Dallas is one of the main shipment areas of illegal drugs because of Texas border with Mexico. I've never thought of Seattle as being that much of a high crime area except for drugs. Washington really isn't an example of a bad state in the US. The Top 10 most violent states are: FLORIDA, NEW YORK, CALIFORNIA, ILLINOIS, SOUTH CAROLINA, MARYLAND, LOUISIANA, ALABAMA, TEXAS, and NEW MEXICO. Don't get me wrong, Canada has had their wackos, but you have to admit that the US has them beat as far as having crazy people go. Look at what happened in Waco, or the Heavens Gate cult, Columbine and the numerous other school shootings, and I could go on and on. I lived in Texas which has the 2nd highest crime rate, and let me tell you, there was usually alot to report on in the news about crimes. I know that they report alot of bad news, but it's hard to just ignore when some crazy people take the police for a high speed chase, which usually happens a few times a year, at least the good police chases happen that many times. Let's face it, the US is a great place, but there is ALOT of crazy people and alot of crime, and I think shows like cops and worlds scariest police chases reflect that aspect of American life. It's hard to ignore the fact of how many murders and robberies and assults there are in the US.

Vancouver doesn't yet have the kind of social conditions and circumstances that Dallas has but it's gaining quickly and if you were to compare the two cities 10-15 years from now I think it would be pretty close crime wise, just as Vancouver didn't even compare to Seattle for crime a decade ago. This could apply to a lot of Canadian cities.

I'm not a liberal, I just want to hear both sides of the stories and not liberal bashing. Everyone knows that Fox news is pretty republican right wing, although I still like watching it. I mean come on, are you telling me Bill Orielly doesn't lean towards the right-wing? I remember they even used to somewhat cut down the people who were protesting the war, saying they don't understand the fact that Iraq has WMD, and then the next thing you know, NO WEAPONS. Fox News is owned by Fox, which is a big corporation, and I haven't seen very many companies who are very liberal....

CBC is owned by the government of Canada, which is owned by the Liberal party of Canada. 'Nuff said.

To tell you the truth, I don't even think I get Fox news. I don't even think I've ever seen it, so I don't know who Bill Oreilly is. I really only have enough time to concern myself with the problems here at home without wading knee deep into their problems too. I really only watch American news when something big is going down, like 9/11 or something like that.

Actually the CBC is run at arms length...all the government does is fund it. It is internationally recognised as a truly fair and balanced news agency.

Axly the cbc is the recipient of one billion plus tax payer's dollars per year.

Axly the head of the cbc is a political appointee.

Axly it is internationally recognised as a socialist left-wing organ of it's own design.

Axly it is known as a haven for nasty, bearded, long-haired, buck-toothed, body-pierced, forked-tongued socialists with no hope of graduating j-school who realise that even better is a life time unionized tenure within the womb of MOTHERCORP gazing upwards with pursed lips towards the teats that will forever provide their abundant creature comforts.

Balanced?
They have no concept of the word either financially or journalistically or mentally or on two feet.

Hahahahaha! Thanks for that. I needed a good laugh.

Now I'm off to watch the one thing the CBC actually does do good - hockey.

That from a woman who is apparently incapable of spelling the word actually being cheered on by a man who actually uses the phrase "do good" without an inkling that he should learn the language he allegedly speaks.

Crawl back under your rock, Karra. 90% of Canadians know that you are wrong and most of the world is jealous of the service that CBC provides for less than $30 per person per year.

True, all I said was that she is entitled to her opinion. I think she gets alot of shit and I can sympathize with that because people here have called me stupid and stuff just because I have a different viewpoint on things and go with what I feel is right. Keep it civil you know. I'm sure she's no angel either. Why can't people keep it civil...

We do keep it civil, Johnny...or at least try to. You need to go back and read Karra's posts. She's a very uncivil woman. She came here and immediately started the name-calling, misinformation, and complete lack of answers that so much defines her political ilk.

I talk back, which is likely a bad idea because that's what trolls really want.

You see the difference between you and her though? You make points, they might be wrong and twisted, but you do have something to say. She's just twisted and wrong, no points involved and nothing to say.

Remember your mother telling you not to fall in with a bad crowd? Karra is that crowd.

haha, ill take that as a compliment. Hmm, well I guess I will take your side with this, cause I myself have seen her previous post. Only thing I suppose I can agree with her on is her dislike of liberals, because I don't exactly like liberals either(although I don't hate them and think they are stupid, just unreasonable sometimes). I'm more independent, because sometimes even the right-wing has alright ideas, but liberals also have good ideas as far as civil rights and such go, like the gay marriage and drug issues. I just don't like the left that exist in the US which would actually like to see a right-wing person fail and have the economy do terrible just to prove they were right.

Well excuse me mister "high and mighty, holier than thou". I wasn't aware that the grammar police were on the job. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised coming from you. Attacking the person and not the argument is the only thing you "do well". Take your points where you can get them, I guess.

Now do us all a favour and get bent. Idiot. Try not to strain yourself grasping at those straws.

Yes, Tool does rule. But the "learn to swim" line is actually from the song Ænema.
