I'll leave that up to the jury, but reading the coverage from The Star and he is guilty as hell, The Sun has him pure as the driven snow.

About the only point agreed on is that judge is tough as nails and cute as a button.......... :?

I think he's guilty but only because the system is broken and they need someone to scape. You can't convict someone 101 years because he's a rich, arrogant and not from the US. If anyone is to be held to account it should be the board of directors for letting this happen to begin with. They knew what was going on and had onus to attend the meetings and review the minutes. The non-compete made perfect sense for Black, he made a nation wide newspaper chain for so the idea that the agreement would have made sense for the Hollinger board of directors is complete bullox. Conrad did not lie, he is on trial for telling the truth to stockholders who wanted him punished for not cutting them in on the action. As the only check on stockholders is profit they are using the US court system to punish him.

Agreed on the Directors and especially the team that was detailed to go over the non-competes (who woulda thought we would know what that means eh?) All three of them just skimmed over the deals and all three missed the same eleven items in the documents. Greenspan refered to it as "Olympic synchronized skimming"

Well, we will know in the next few days. One last summation left for the defence I think.
