How do you cross the border "on foot"?
One time when I was in southern Arizona, I too crossed the border on foot. This was the Nogales border which led me into Mexico (I had to purchase some medication which was cheaper in Mexico). I was amazed in that there were no customs officers on the Mexican side when I crossed. Upon return into the U.S., I recall the foot traffic line-up was longer than the vehicle line-up. Lots of folks cross the border on foot when entering the U.S. from Mexico.
I guess for bordertowns between Canada and the U.S., you would also have folks crossing on foot.
I live in a border town. Not here. People on bicycles, yes. But not on foot.
