I found this article, and it caught my attention. I notice kids like this at my own school (in Canada), with such "limited" education strengths. I wonder why the school systems let this happen. Now...before people complain about me, I am NOT:
A) Criticizing the school system
B) Being anti-anything

Okay, so the picture can not be posted from my vomputer, it can only be from the net so you can't see my article. Sorry. So now this is in the wrong forum...oops. It would have been in the right forum if you could see my article. O well.

all i see is an "x." I guess people that are illiterate sign things with an "x" but that is hardly enough proof to say our educational system sucks :P

MONEY, more money will fix it. Pay the teachers a starting wage of $85,000 - $100,000. Then you could get the best teachers, then through billions at fixing the schools and creating better programs and corses.

At the public school level (elementary and high school), we need parents to put more of an emphasis on learning with their children and we need them to be more supportive of teachers, when the teachers deserve it (which is 90% of the time).

We need teachers who are truly dedicated and provide unique and positive learning experiences to be rewarded financially above and beyond what the "average" teacher might receive. They need to be recognized publicly and financially.

We need governments that are willing to work with educators to develop a system that works. We need educators that are willing to work with governments. Students should not be used as bargaining chips by either side. Frankly, it's about time to see both sides negotiate in good faith together.

We need the public to realize that we DO, in fact, have a good education system. Our students consistently score well relative to their peers from other countries. Our post-secondary institutions do attract high quality international students.

For post-secondary, we need a solid focus on the role of universities vs. colleges, diploma programs vs. degree programs. We need universities to deliver research and learning in a better way. There are opportunities for our post-secondary institutions to work with each other to ensure that the highest quality programs are delivered with the most efficient use of student and taxpayer money.

Just some quick thoughts.

The article i clipped from the pages on the Vancouver province and to post it I'd have to pay a fee to acess the article online. I still have the article, so unless I make a webpage and put the article on the webpage, I'm SOL.
