Lord-Beaverbrook Lord-Beaverbrook: figfarmer figfarmer: If so, do you believe in capital punnishment? Only for the mentally retarded!!! [republicans]
Here we go again, Remind me of the documentary i seen a while ago, called. Stupidity
"Left is stupid" says the right
"Right is stupid" says the left
"Politicians are stupid" says the stupid people
I don't like seeign that, Republicans are Stupid, or Liberals are Stupid..
I know it is quick and easy, but can we not find a better word to use?? That jjust goes to show Canadians are stuck on a moral High-Horse, little do we know, our horse is a pony.. "Our pony can pwn ur stallion"
Bashing liberals, for example, is all fun and games, but Liberals are stupid is kinda pathetic..
Now saying something like, Liberals tend to unwillinly corupt our nation, crippling it due to the lack of CF, the genuine beleif that pleasing as many as possible, regardless of cuts, cuts cuts adn more cuts, will benifit our country, or by bashing our neighbours to the south who we so depend on for economic stability. would still be harsh and not well backed up.. but it isn't as childish or hypocritical as "Liberals are stupid"

I love my guns and the Canadian gun registration is a complete joke.
The gun registration is nothing more than more socialist government intrusion into the private lives of Canadians, looking to get more and more money.
Hell, or colour are already white and red, why not just go commie? Were just a step away anyways.
Pathetic

This is priceless! Did the same folks who did the Gun Registry's computer system help you with this one?
While we were writting this:
Two Men Shot in Hastings Restaurant
Oct, 25 2005 - 3:50 PM
VANCOUVER/CKNW(AM980) - Vancouver Police say a daylight shooting inside a Vietnamese noodle house may be gang-related.
Hey, Larry Campbell: Can we use those dead guys as some more of them four pillars for you're drug policy?

Why is this in the Canada/US Relations? Is this for Canadians or is this to generate some opinions from our American friends? Is this bait?
I'll go ask my 75 year old other mom in Washington, why she packs heat, next time she's helping out at the legion post. Maybe some of those old guys have some good opinions for ya.

Maybe this will save you some time..... they estimate that Canada has over 7,000,000 privately owned firearms, in their homes....
And I'm one of them.....
I'd rather live in a town were "everyone" legally owned a gun, then a town that had just one person, that was barred from owning one.....
As B. Franklen said, "An armed society is a polite society."

Ben Franklin may have said that, and we can all appreciate various aspects of Benjamin Franklin. But, we can't assume that just because he said it, it makes it correct. He is also known for advocating the creation of an American consititutional monarchy, complete with a King or Queen of America. I think most Americans have an abhorance to this idea, so obviously Ben Franklin was/ is in the minority on this idea.
An armed society is a polite one? Absurd. Another of Franklin's questionable statements.

I have a fair collection of firearms including several Chinese SKS, that work quite well even thought they are several decades old. My most recent purchase is a Savage, Model 10FPXP-LEA, that I got through a friend in law enforcement. I bought the .308 version as .223 is just too light a round in my opinion. Everyone figures it's too heavy for hunting deer, but who says it's deer I'm after. Sort of depressing that I'm missing hunting season this year. Last fall, when we were home, I was out every weekend during Jumper season. Bagged my limit, my father's and our next door neighbour's. I shot about 6 X the wild life photos though. Did I mention I like venison?? ![Drool [drool]](./images/smilies/droolies.GIF)

I can't say that I understand the allure of hunting...perhaps it is just my lack of testosterone.

I don't know about that, as I know quite a few women that like to hunt as well. Part of the thrill is the tracking and killing, especially if you are bow hunting, but there is also just getting outside and enjoying your surroundings as well as the camraderie. like I mentioned before , I have 6 times as many photos as I do kills of the deer.

Well, it is not for me (could get the same effect by a big game of hide and seek in the woods with friends.......so long as a hunter doesn't mistake one of us for a deer...lol). Regardless, I respect your right to do so and responsible gun owners aren't the problem.

I have the testosterone but I dont' understand it either. I've never hunted, though I have been trapping with our farm neighbours in Saskatchewan and I've fished a bit. Seems like a whole lot of sitting still and freezing your ass off. Getting soaked and this freezing solid getting the beaver and muskrat traps. (This was late 70's.) None of it interests me at all. To paraphrase what Mark Twain said about golf: "It's a nice hike ruined."

Well, seeing you're a Yank, let me ask you this. If you had to move, and you only had 2 choices, Vermont or Washington DC, which place would you move to?
Vermont which has one of the lowest crime and murder rates in all of the US or DC, which has one of the Highest crime and murder rates of all the US???? Hmmmmm which one, Eh??
