This is for real. I don't know if this made Canadian news or not.... but some U.S. Army Rangers, with Canadian ties, plotted a criminal move into Kelowna. The wanted to take the territory away from your Hell's Angels. Anyway I guess the Canadian Hell's Angels are safe in controlling B.C. drug trade for now.

But the thought is intriguing.... Get military training, then move in on Canada with your gang. If they had been older and more experienced, then they might have gotten further. One of them escaped to Canada and is simply under house arrest in B.C.. Maybe you want to let him try again.

...Luke Sommer, the U.S. Army Ranger accused of masterminding the takeover robbery of a Tacoma bank in August, planned to use proceeds from the heist to launch a "crime family" in Canada, federal authorities allege....

...."Byrne told us that Sommer had a plan to start a crime family in Kelowna, British Columbia," wrote Monte Shaide, a special agent for the FBI, in charging papers. "According to Byrne, Sommer planned to challenge the Hell's Angels for control of the drug running and extortion rackets in that area."....

Canadian says he is "Untouchable".....

Does this mean that I can rob Canadian Banks for political reasons and be safe in America? The swords cuts both ways....

.....Luke Sommer, the former Army Ranger accused of masterminding the takeover robbery of a Tacoma bank in August, stops just short of admitting to the crime. But he says that if he did rob the bank, his motives were political.

"One of the things that the Canadian Extradition Act says is that I cannot be extradited if the reason or the motive for a crime is political," Sommer said. "I'm untouchable, as long as I can prove in court that the reasons that I had were political. And I can. Trust me....."

Dealing with cross border crimes is daily routine. But this one is pretty stinky because of the position of trust he was put in. I don't see how it could be in Canada's best interest to protect this criminal. We will wait for the Canadian justice system to work.... hopefully in a wise manner.
