why would dating a canadian man be better than dating an american man?

Well to start with, it would be less expensive because the Canadian dollar is lower.

But I was curious more than less, about how you view things differently and do you view things differently than your southern neighbors?

I would say as a whole we are a little more laid back, and easy going. We work hard, play hard, but it is our attitude in doing those things that is, I would say, more relaxed then our U.S. counter parts.

I also think we have a better sense of humour because of this. We don't take ourselves so seriously, well at least some to most of the time. I go to border bars and you can tell who is American or Canadian. One thing to look for is who is starting a fight. Every border bar I have been too, I have almost gotten into a fight with a yank, and everytime I wasn't doing anything more then standing there.

We can also drink them under the table, as we don't drink watered down beer.

When I was still driving long haul I had a girl friend in Houston Texas..
She asked if all Canadian men were like me. She loved our attitude towards ladies as far as being polite , caring, and REAL gentlemen..
Im sure that Americans are also that way bur she said she didnt recall mereting mnay that were as nice and fun to be with as Canadians..

I have to agree... the ladies I have dated in the States have all stated we are more polite, easier going, and have cute accents.

In my experiences dating the american women (generally speaking), I have noticed that they are (if only slightly) not as curteous as the Candian women, are concerned more about themselves.

I must also add that I am currently dating a very nice american lady.

A funny thing happened when :P 3 Swedes land in Edmonton & made their way out to the bush in Edson .... after a long day & a few time zones ... they decided to go and eat at the local Inn. When the waitress (poor gal) came to the table and said "may I take your order" ... The one Swede (who used english for the first time since high school) ... are you ready!! "I will eat BEAVER in Canada ..." 8O ...... LMFO true story folks. My husband left the table with tears running down his face laughing so hard ... The waitress (poor gal) was a true sport. :)

Sorry Wildfire for hijacking your thread  I'm not one to give advice ... I've only dated Canadian men until ... my husband came along ... but whom ever you meet I hope they touch your heart.
