i personally am a fan of Diana Krall's but DEFINITELY not a fan of christmas music! i think that her album before the the last one (the one where she kind of departed from the jazz roots to make elevator music) isn't her best either.

i think it is also a sad day when people who owe their popularity to a TV contest are up for junos. especially when they didn't win!

to the guys in nickle-crack: your sappy love songs got old the day after you came out (the closet?) time for a change and some substance that matters. same goes for green day (though not canadian or a juno contestant). your old albums: cool. the new one: got old really quick. that, and the "september" video makes me want to hurl, not only because of its bleeding heart but also because of Billy Joe's bad teeth shots. get 'em fixed buddy!

the only categories with any decent talent nominated are Songwriter and Alternative... Go Metric =D

Other then that, Theory of a Deadman vs. Nickelback can they sound anymore alike? And why are these awards based on record sales? The only people that are buying these people's albums are the people that are to stupid to figure out how to d/l an mp3...

Juno's are for losers... go Arcade Fire, at least your talent has been recognized in the states where you were nominated for 2 grammies and 3 american music awards.

i don't like rap at all but i think k-os definitely deserves the award he's up for.

can you wrap you mind around a rap artist (pun intended?) who, for once, has a positive message and who's music isn't full of 4 letter effluent, to fill gaps like other rappers do when they can't think of anything better or worthwhile to say.

yep, he definitely stands out in a sea of shitty music.

Not quite. I saw them as a part of the annual Dis-Orientation concert our SUS puts on. They were the band on right before Matt Good so I, and 90% of the people there that night, were forced to endure that "babd".
