It's probably a good tune, the elements all sound right individually, but the engineering is horrible. The fuzzed guitar, which I guess we have to call the rhythm guitar, is 'way too loud and a bit too busy. It wipes everything else out. The little bit of lead we can hear when it shuts down for the bridge is nice. The vocal sounds good, but is too far back there and hard to pick out. I'd go a bit heavier on the bottoms with the percussion on this tune, kind of what they call Death Metal style if it was me.

Just about the same as on the other one. The vocals are too far back, we can't hear enough bottom on the drums and the rhythm guitar is too loud.

interesting view fig. I appreciate your crtisism as I know you have experience in recording.

I will consider those pointers and maybe do a remix. In the meantime since you mentioned the death metal sound, let me know what you think of this one. We recorded this young band in Jan.

again, thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

Duped:
Yeah, remix, and crank up the percussion, maybe rerecord the percussion tracks altogether... rim taps?!?!

Love acoustic guitar at the end... everything fits together much better.

Pretty much the same for the Unemployed song... less muddy guitar, more drums...

thanks Blue,
sounds like you agree with Fig. Re recording the drums would be alot of work, maybe I will take a shot at remixing. i beleive the vocals are back a bit much, and are lost a little with the guitar.

I prefer a bit more comprehensible vocal track. I dunno if you've listened to our Is It Right over at soundclick, under the band name Phybes, but that's my favourite take on the genre of what we've done. Off to work now. Cheers. I gotta get hold of you some time about booking a rock band in your town. I have one that's ready to go.

More bass percussion and less hi-hat.Cymbals would be better me-thinks. I notice the stick on the high hat can be heard over anything else.

Maybe I hear it different though because I have played drums for 35 years.

It sound's good though, things can only get better as you get more experience with everything. Good luck and I wouldnt tone down the guitar or vocals though but rather turn up everything else.
