Johnny Cash Memorial Statement by Kris Kristofferson

$1:
Johnny Cash has always seemed larger than life to me. He is a true American hero, beloved the world over as much for his kindness and compassion and championing of the underdog as for the power of his art. He's been my inspiration, my faithful friend, my champion - a constant oasis of unconditional love and support. His fierce independence and free spirit, balanced with his love of family, children and his fellow man, will stand as a shining example of the best of what it means to be human. And he was damned funny, even in the darkest times.
"I love you, John In the cold and Holy darkness You were always shining brighter than a star God bless you, John For the love and joy you've given
And the living inspiration that you are"
Kris Kristofferson 9/12/03

I miss him.

The movie has had warm reviews. The actors, Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, sing the songs. I have not heard them yet but I hear they pull it off. Comments?

Walk the line reviews

I just got back from it tonight. It was a very good movie, with some very good music. I had hard time seeing past Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon as they are two of my least favourites actors. I recommend it highly.

He's a great man who did a lot of things wrong. June Carter really saved his ass.

I miss the man too.

I went there opening night. I bet I was the only teenager in the audience. Most of it was people 40+.

I loved the movie. The music was great. It seems as the farther into the movie you got the more like Johnny Cash Juaquin Pheonix sounded.

I have seen it a while back. It was one of the better films i had seen in 2005. I do recommend it to all out there.
