The grave markers in the cemetary have many names of folks who immigrated here and fought for this country,if you could ask them what they think of todays liberals you would find that this is not what they were fighting for but against. I've been a legion member for over 30 years, ask any vet what they think of todays Canada and you might be surprised.

ziggy ziggy:
Try listening to Rutherford on Calgary 77 am radio,it's not just the sun thats anti Ontario. Most of us Albertans are disgusted with the liberals and lots of those letters reflect Albertans as a majority.I see free the west and Alberta independance signs everywhere in rural Alberta now.Canada may have been a great country at one time but the liberals have turned it into a corrupt old boys network.

Lets be honest here its not free the west its free rural Alberta + Calgary.
I just find it funny that if the Tories win the next election (maybe with the biggest share of the vote in Ontario) all these Alberta seperatists suddenly put away their signs and say now everything's ok, the whole basis for this movement seems to be a hatred for the Liberal Party nothing more nothing less that began with Trudeau and the NEP and has been gathering pace ever since.

Having lived out west in Alberta, BC, and Manitoba and now living in Ontario I have seen both sides and have this to say. The west seems to feel neglected from the east, the only time it SEEMS they are paid any attention is when the east wants a cut of their resources. This tends to develop into an anti-east feeling especially around election time when Ontario seems to keep voting in liberal members because the conservatives SCARE them!

In the east all that I have heard from the average person is "Why does the west complain, if it wasn't for Ontario paying their bills they would be nothing!" The sheer arrogance of the aveage person in Ontario still amazes me after all these years! These are the same people who vote liberal, condemn the US every chance they get, and brag about what a great country Canada is. At the same time most of them have never been west of Windsor, but they do go to Florida every year or New York or the Carolinas.

Just my little blurb on why many people in the west don't like Ontario. By the way I've also noticed in Ontario that customer service, on average, is not near as good as it is in the west!

Come on Ontario, take a trip out west this year, I promise you, you will enjoy yourself!

Guess were being selfish when we say free the west, just thought a couple other provinces would want to join in or continue paying half your cheque to a bunch of theives and liars to maintain power......those are my dollars and if it takes talk of seperation to cure this corruption that we have in government now then I' m all for it.
If Ontario is so sufficient then let them go it alone,Alberta is no longer going to be someones whipping boy. The gloves are off,and I'm sad to say that right now I would like to see the west alienated from the east untill some can get their books and finances in order.
I wont even mention Jack Laytons dirty deal with the liberals, talk about sucking big dick.
Time for a new party(or as Alice Cooper said) A wild party!
Jack Layton jumping into bed with Martin just go'es to show the level these idiots will do to stay in power.

And you wonder why you see "free the west" signs all over Dont think we could go it alone? then you have never been to Alberta.

$1:
ask any vet what they think of todays Canada and you might be surprised.

Then ask them if they think Canada should break apart as a country, and the provinces form individual nations.

Take a look a Nfld. my friends.....they have been getting f***ed over since they joined confederation......how many do you hear yeling seperate....seperate. Other than the Newfoundland Seperation Federation....or N.S.F. nothing! "If you can mark an X, your my kinda people!"

A newfie understands the concept of "all in the same boat"....now, quite your fucking bitching, pick up that fucking oar, and start pulling.

IcedCap IcedCap:
I gotta give props out when they're due.

From today...

IT SEEMS the Alberta separatist bandwagon has really started. I can't think of anything more tragic than to suggest leaving Canada. There is a history to this nation that does not belong to any one group of people. Soldiers, volunteers no less, bled and died not because they loved their province, but because they loved their country. Do we just pick up and leave, collectively spitting on their sacrifice, or do we fight to protect that which is greater than anyone? I, for one, will stay and fight.

lol sorry, but that is weird. I never see a argue like that for Quebec. For Quebec, the argue is about cash. When a province like Alberta have enough cash, federalist goes for the pride..... After that, say me that in quebec we make propaganda..................... The adscam was propaganda..... Liberals like that ! Mulroney try to includ quebec at least... Anyway

sorry for the break, Calgarians have been surprising conciliatory lately till today...

SO DO people really think Ontarians are going to vote for the Conservatives? As someone who just had a friend return from Liberal Ontario, I was informed that the coverage of the sponsorship scandal we see plastered all over the front pages out here in the West, barely receives a mention in the centre of the newspapers out there. My goodness, you wouldn't even know there was a scandal of any kind going on in the government. It seems the Lib-Left also have some control over those who report the news out there.

D. Baxter

Yeah the Toronto medianever mention the Gomery inquiry
