From the Michigan Militia website. This group fell into decline over allegations that members were involved in the Oklahoma bombing which have proved false. They aren't an extreme militia but at the root of it they are ready to fight the government to defend their rights as Americans.

In addition, none of those entities have the power to make laws, only Congress and State Legislatures can pass laws, and they don't have the authority to deny any inalienable rights. This question underscores the importance and necessity for the militia as the final guarantor of freedom and final guard against a corrupt central government. They can't outlaw inalienable rights, no matter how hard they try.
