I don't know how many other people are terrified about the potential cost of the Liberals enacting legislation to ban hand guns. If it resembles the gun registry in any way, it's going to be plenty of $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Can we really trust this group of Liberals with our hard earned tax dollars any more? It just makes me sick when I look at my pay cheque and see the gross total compared to the net total. I don't want to give one more dime to this corrupt, incompetent Liberal party. I'm sad to say I've voted Liberal in the past, but not this time.

If you don't think the Liberals are that bad, here's a reminder of their corruption and incomptence:

Gomery

Gun registry

billion dollars not accounted for in HRDC

Shawinigate

APEC protesters pepper sprayed

cancelling Mulroney's helicoptor order, only to order them anyway several years later (only after letting our soldiers risk their lives every time they flew in an aging Sea King.)

Martin's ships not flying Canadian flags to avoid Canadian taxes.

Promising to scrap the GST, but instead merging GST and PST in 3 provinces.

Should I go on? I know Paul Martin was not Prime Minister for everything mentioned, but he was a prominent cabinet minister or Prime Minister. This current band of Liberals needs to be wiped out, like the Conservatives needed to be wiped out after the Mulroney years. I know a lot of people would rater go with the "devil you know". I say go with the devil we don't know in this case. If we re-elect Liberals to government we'll only be damaging ourselves. Let's vote in a Conservative government. I don't know if they've really earned that vote, but the Liberals surely have lost any right to expect one. A vote for the NDP is as good as a vote for the Liberals. Vote Conservative. Give them a chance at governing. If they are not good, we are in the same boat as today. The Liberals have proven they can't do the job. The Conservatives should get a chance to prove they can do a good job.

You really think I'm a member of the Conservative party? Seriously, this is beyond partisanship. It's about booting out a bunch of stealing thugs who don't deserve another chance.

So long as the canadian military was maintaining them they were at no real risk flying the Sea Kings. Their aging and should be replaced but we're hardly talking a death trap...

No risk? Really? Why not ask those who fly the sea kings what they think of them. Or do you think it was okay when a Canadian military ship had to return to Halifax instead of the persian Gulf because the Sea king it was carrying crashed to the deck shortly after taking off?

This is hardly the meat of my post though. The main focus should be on Liberal party incompetence and vote pandering. Cancelling the helicoptor deal Mulroney made was nothing short of vote pandering. The Liberals only ordered more several years later. Also the Liberals bought less helicoptors for more money, but you never hear about that. The Liberals also bought helicoptors not compatible with ones currently used for search and rescue.

I'm not a huge Conservative booster, but I can't stand this current bunch of Liberals. We need a change. This time we need a change for change's sake.

I have, and thats what I'm basing my statement upon their primary complaint with the "venerable sea king" was that vibrations would sometimes be soporific which was difficult on long anti-submarine training missions. That and some of the exhaust would leak into the cabin (not a dangerous amount mind you)

This is from the same guy who wrote "America is the most grandiose experiment the world has seen, but, I am afraid, it is not going to be a success." and "America is a mistake, a giant mistake.".
I guess you can't be right all of the time.
