The funny thing is I knew it was going to accumulate and make him sound like a big sucky-baby whiner the first time I heard it, and thought it was a big political mistake.

You'd think that politicians would consider the fact that something might get played on every commerical break on every station for at least a day BEFORE opening their mouths, and assess what the cumulative effect will be.
