Just so all of you are aware (once again)...
I came to this site just to see what was on here, and noticed so much American hatred. But it was Canadians amongst Canadians. (Layman terms) Basically it would be like me talking with my American buddies how Canada sucked, just because we thought so, without including an actual Canadian or knowing anything about Canada. Wouldn't all of you be arguing the samething that I've been saying? (probably not; too righteous, but oh well) Obviously I've touched some nerves (GOOD!) and I'll continue!

Am I the only one who thinks this guy has a complex about his small American dick and has to boast about the size of his army to make up for it?

Yes you are the only one. C'mon man... don't make me beat up your girlfriend (you're probably a homo...so boyfriend) and rape you! You'd probably like that, so I would just shank you in the ass with a kitchen knife.

You want to rape me? It's a shame you don't live in Canada. Did you know you're treated equally as a homosexual there?

Scape Scape: BigDubUSA BigDubUSA: Can you explain why NAFTA is hurting Canada (Try blaming your own govt.) Or better yet, explain to me why you think it's the U.S's fault. Our country is being sold because of free trade and NAFTA. 13,000 companies have been sold since free trade. Twice as many companies sold in 1999 as in 1998 and that was a record. Manley said foreign restrictions will be coming off the other areas -- airlines, banks etc. Air Canada would be sold, BCE and CTV would be sold. All of the banks would either be bought or controlled by international banks the size of Chase Manhattan. As the companies are sold the top decision making jobs leave the country. This is a major contributor to the brain drain. People who want those top jobs need to follow them. This is leaving Canada an empty shell. It's largely and illusion that free trade has been good for us. We've only had two good years in the last 10 and that's due to low interest rates. The other problem is that though many are doing well, there are many who aren't participating in the benefits. We have more poverty and child poverty than we had before free trade. If you go back before 1974, there were no food banks and no people sleeping on streets. The total US credit market debt expanded at a seasonally adjusted $2.733 trillion (in one year) to $34.625 trillion. Now, if we take GDP to be $11 trillion this increase in debt is equal to a quarter of GDP. Since the beginning of 1998, total U.S. borrowings have climbed from about 255% of U.S. GDP to 302%. This is higher than the 260% of GDP recorded at the height of the bull market in 1929. Total U.S. mortgage debt now stands at $9.618 trillion. This is almost as much as total Personal Income. So, in mortgage debt alone, the U.S. owes everything it makes. Mother Nature is a hanging judge and this is the primary motivator for change not Democratic ideals. With absolute free trade with the US many of our agriculture areas would be wiped out. People have been misled into believing that NAFTA and free trade were about trade, but they were about investment. Pat Carney confirmed that Americans wanted investment on the table because if it wasn't there was nothing to talk about. They wanted access to our oil, gas and soon our water. They wanted ownership, not trade. The national treatment clause gives American investors the same rights in Canada as citizens. What is the point of citizenship then? IN practice, this allows Americans to invest in Canada without conditions or limits. We can't tell them to invest in certain areas or set other conditions and no limits. We can't say you can only buy 50 per cent of our forestry or oil and gas, because the treaty says they can by them all. We want the kind of treaty that Canadians were led to believe the trade agreement was. We can compete in trade, but we can't compete in investment with the U.S. The problem under NAFTA is the chapter 11 clause that is an infringement on our sovereignty. It gives corporations the right to sue Canada if any level of government here passes or amends a law that affects their profits, or future profits. The Ethyl case is the best known. The Parliament banned importation into Canada of MMT, a gasoline additive. Ethyl sued and when the government was advised it might lose it settled out of court for $13 million U.S.. Then Parliament had to repeal the law. What kind of democracy is it when a foreign corporation can tell parliament what laws to pass. Every bit as bad was that two cabinet ministers had to say that MMT wasn't harmful, when research was showing it is harmful, especially to children. There are other cases. The Sunbelt Corp. is suing for billions because we won't sell water. UPS is suing for $225 million because it says Purolator is being subsidized by the government. When we lose it is the taxpayers who pay. These are just the tip of the iceberg.
Scape,
Very good points! Although I am not as informed about NAFTA as you are (neither is the average American) What does the Canadian govt. do about this? And what "kickbacks" is your govt. receiving? It's pretty absurd to believe that an American official went to Canada, put a gun to Parliment and said, "sign this, or else!" (I'm not at all saying that is what you thought) Or that we are holding Canadians hostage for our own interest. America continues to be under a microscope (within a world law) and I highly doubt that if we were the Bully's of NAFTA that there wouldn't be outcry worldwide. Unfortunately this is the benefit of me living in a capitalistic society, which I encourage every country to think about. Anyone can make a fortune (legally) but the downside is that it may be at someone elses expense. Bulls & Bears my friend!

Yep! I knew that... Isn't "beastyality" legal up there? Maybe you could be the first country to marry animals, and put them under the healthplan. You can start having pride parades of men & women screwing baby & adult animals! Start some baby animal porn sites!

Its been while since I've posted in here because of the rants of posters like the one that started this. I won't respond to most of the retarded comments but I will to the "Taking our pastime" one. Hockey is not our pastime. We are just the worlds fucking best at it-hence the Olympic Gold, the National Gold the world Gold in both Men and Women, etc, etc. facts are just that-facts, They fortunately cannot be twisted or changed at anyone's convenience. Not even an American. I have no Ill feeling towards our American neighbors. Shit I love them yank broads. Still, a little reserarch by the bub/dub/whatever would be good before spitting his bullshit on a Canadian site. Apparently he's been kicked out of the U.S. sites and would like to join ours. Lets all be nice to our little friend from next door, he know's not of what he speaks, nor whom he's speaking to.

Are you saying that homosexuals are on the same level as animals?
Just relax buddy. You guys should stop trading your freedom for the illusion of security like a bunch of pussies. While you're at it, stop thinking Bush is talking to God on a two way radio.

Settle down almighty... I didn't need a lesson in hockey 101... Cool, you won some gold medals. So how many hockey teams are in Canada now? How many are in the U.S.? (Should I break it down for you with Economics 101?) I will always admit that Canadians and Russians are pretty dam good in hockey, and always have been. You completely missed the point! I really don't feel like repeating myself. Bottom line is, we pretty much are buying out your sport. Canadians are better players but cannot pay the bills in Canada, so we're picking up your slack, and have been paying them well. And unfortunately, it's dying. Maybe not in Canada, but what are you doing to save it? And why have you lost so many teams (Don't blame Americans, blame our money) Shit Americans (TV viewers) are making/breaking the sport We'll probably end up aboloshing the NHL for lack of support & money$$ NOT ENOUGH VIEWERS/FANS! So if you're so consumed with hockey, get off your ass, and catch the next bus down south and catch a game. Do I have to school Cnada on everything? Sports & Politics now!
