Well, that list is like (mostly) a post mortem on the US car industry. And you guys were surprised the big three tanked? Really?

Not me, I drove a few of those and bought VW's and a Subaru after being in a good few of the 'most collectible'.

I had two Jettas over an 8 year period and not a thing went wrong! If VW made a 4WD version I wouldn't have gone Subaru. But....the Subaru is AWESOME!!

Exactly. My dad always wanted an old Mustang and about 10 years ago decided on a 64 1/2. He hunted around and found he could have a mint, numbered car for about $30K or a re-built immaculate car for $15K. He saved fifteen grand and drives what is basically a new car instead a 40 year old one. Only the most discerning collector could ever tell the difference.
