Yeah, I really like that search engine. Makes it really easy to do visual search and the search results are now nearly as good as Google and they are still beta.

The ability to stack and share website en mass is crazy though. Been wanting to try that out for a while now.

I like that the new search engine by some ex google people has CKA on the 1st page for "canadian news" search.
http://www.cuil.com/search?q=canadian+news

www.searchme.com isn't really useful as an actualy search engine, the results arn't that good. but it is cool looking. It is also kidna useful to find other sites mentioning your name or sitename, like a search for "canadaka".

Its too bad there search results weren't as good as google with.

For non tech news all I really check is Digg.com and CKA.

Odd, Cuil had CBC Schefferville as the 1st listing. Musta updated it.

I like how searchme auto-pop the categories as you type. I hope they refine the engine a little more so the results are more numerous. For now thou it really makes for quick visual searches when you are not sure what exactly it is you are looking for. Sort of a 'scenic tour' of the internet with google and cuil allowing the search to be more refined.

C'mon guys (and possibly girls) :)

The best place to get the news is NakedNews. Explicit since the name says it all. Still, anyone can dish out the same 'ol news but it is in its presentation that really matters.

I read www.csmonitor.com sometimes. They really have some interesting news stories on what most people ignore. I also hop around the mainstream US stuff, you know...CNN, Fox News, sometimes CBC/BBC sites. Depending on what I need
