DerbyX DerbyX: 2Cdo 2Cdo: Actually no I don't like any store bought coffee. I prefer to buy my own beans, roast them and then experiment with different blends. It's a lot of work but I figure someday I will find the perfect cup of coffee. when I do I'll open my own coffee shop and charge outrageous prices because the saps that drink Starbucks will follow any new trendy spot for thei fix! I'll stick with beer and Dr. Pepper. Never acquired the taste for coffee. Many a morning people have cursed my out because I don't have any means of making coffee at my place. I can't understand and don't particularly trust ANYONE who doesn't drink coffee. Including my son.

At least I drink beer. That should cancel out the coffee thing. Something about people who don't drink beer just makes me wonder ........

Something about people who don't drink beer just makes me wonder ........ My "kids" are 22 and 20 years old and have moved on in their lives. Ones in Montreal and the other is waiting to join the military(against my wishes) the young one doesn't drink coffee but certainly has the beer and vodka down pat. Myself, I rarely drink alcohol anymore. Christmas, social events and a cold one in the summer after working in the yard.

EyeBrock EyeBrock: Nah, .7 % is a groundswell of the masses who feel SOOOOOO strongly about the issue.
Like Zip says, we shall see how many are on demos in the morrow.
I'm sure we can get the usual renta mob anti-globalisation/big banks/carbon emmissions/olympics/Nutella crowd with ski-masks out to show their outrage. Considering this topic is still alive, the polls are certainly registering SOMETHING significant that has changed, the Facebook page is still growing, and Harper still says nobody cares, more people care than the more rabid partisans are willing to admit. I’m not on the Facebook page, nor is anyone in my family, and none of us are planning to attend the protest, but all that said there are 17 people in just my family that are ticked about this (and other things since they formed a government) and have pulled their support from the Conservative Party. That said, I’m still not anxious to have an election at the moment. There’s no one out there showing they would do any better.

Curtman Curtman: EyeBrock EyeBrock: So your group is drafting a Bill eh curtman?
I was thinking of doing the same, or maybe becoming an astronaut. The NDP is, and they will introduce it. Now the group has to make sure the Libs, and the Bloc will vote for it. If 210,000 Canadians hadn't joined together to make this an issue, nobody would be doing anything about it. Either way, this is a lose-lose situation for the Liberals and mainly, Ignatieff. If Iggy votes FOR the bill, he'll go back on decades of Liberal 'policy' of prorogation. Long time Liberals won't let that happen. If he doesn't vote for the bill, which is the most likely case, it makes all of this crap coming from the Liberal camp about Harper being undemocratic just political games. He'll make all his MP's crying about this look like idiots. Ignatieff and the Liberals will find some way not to support the NDP and in turn, shoot themselves in the foot. Again. In the end, the only thing accomplished was wasting time in the House. Jack Layton can try to be the saviour all he wants, but tomorrow, he'll be as irrelevant as he was today.

Isn't he the Conservative supporter who doesn't like Harper or Mulrooney?

Thought so, he supports the Conservatives, just not their leaders over the last 25 years! Sounds an awful lot like a Liberal supporter.
