Yes, I hold the CPC to a higher standard than the Liberals, as do you.

Except that you aren't. What you consider to be the blackest of deeds by the Liberals is mearly a "meh" from the CPC.

I'll never vote for a right wing party. If I were old enough I'd have supported Mulroneys red Tories because they were socially liberal.

I get the NDPers trying to convince me to vote for them but I won't let my vote help win a Con a seat. I may not vote for the NDP but I sure as hell will support a coalition with them both informally and formally which is pretty much the same as voting for them since it means they get a say in government.

I don't trust Harper and quite frankly anybody remotely connected to the bat shit crazy racists that made up the Reform party should be drummed out of office as the fanatics they are.

So once again we see that when the cons are faced with the stench their own corruption they try to blame others or mitigate it.

With all this so called corruption, wouldn't it be worth taking the CPC government down? Here's your chance, go for it. Or stop f**king whining about it.

I have been advocating just that. Funny that now that its Cons stealing tax payer money you guys are suddenly OK with it. Well you didn't mind Harper raising your taxes and spending more money in a single year then any previous government so you won't have any cause to complain when another party does it.

57%...is it only that much.

Given that the Conservatives have 142 seats, the Liberals 77, which is approx' 50% less than the Conservatives, it would seem that 57% given to Tory ridings is less than a fair share.

eg. if $1000 was given to each riding the Tory's would get $142,000 and the Libs $77,000, for a total of $219,000. Thus the Conservative share is 64% with all ridings getting equal amounts.

So the Conservative ridings are receiving less than their fair share.

Add in the other ridings and it probably works out nice and even.

Good point plugs! So in reality the CPC is actually giving LESS to it's ridings in proportion!

Corrupt gits!

You are asking someone to take a stand against corruption when they won't do it with their own party.

Funny how when its not the Liberals stealing tax payer money, you are trying to provoke some contempt for government.

Personally, I have nothing but contempt for a government that not only steals taxpayer money but the smug little bastards do it under the guise of "national unity"

Yet you are perfectly OK with the CPC doing it.

Plugs has a point derby, on the funding allocation. Care to address it?

Uh guys. The math goes:

CPC (146 seats) 46% of the seats
LPC (77 seats ) 25%
Bloc (49 seats) 19%
NDP (37 seats) 12%

That's because he got the 64% from simply comparing the CPC seats to the Lib ones. He didn't include any of the other parties and their seats and arbitrarily assigned them 1000 each.

The 57% is total funding compared with seat% which for the CPC is 46% of the seats held.
