I like you, Bart, and I have a lot of respect for you.
That said, I wouldn't have any respect for myself if I stood by quietly allowing you to say stuff others have been banned for.
I don't believe I've said anything ban-worthy.
I take exception to those people who advocate the extermination of the Jews and the conquest and subjugation of non-muslims. I've said repeatedly that those who renounce these things have nothing to worry about from me. And I steadfastly reserve the right to be intolerant of anyone from any religion or any creed who thinks that their take on life is so special that they should rule the world and be able to exterminate everyone else.
Not in such blunt terms as I use, of course, but my opinions reflect the national policies of your own government.
Muslims in Canada have been arrested for saying and doing the things I object to.
The ones who don't cause any trouble your government leaves alone.
But makes sure to keep an eye on them from time to time.
And the muslims who've tried to carry out jihad in Canada have been met with
severe intolerance from your government.
Just the same as we have Nazis down here who are free to say what they want up to the moment they advocate harming others, so long as the muslims mind their own business they're of no concern to me and if I saw a mosque on fire I'd help them put it out without hesitation.
There's plenty about islam and muslims that I admire. You can't study them and their philosophy without gaining an appreciation for them.
But it's those few things that create for me insurmountable dilemmas.
How do I tolerate people who in even, unbroken and unemotional tones quite seriously want every last Jew on earth murdered?
Add to that their intended treatment of myself and mine is less than admirable.
And please do not think this is a racial matter as it isn't. Al Qaeda's spokesman these days is a white American convert to islam. His being white and American will not protect him from the bullets and bombs that are eventually coming his way.
So one more time I'll advocate that you read the koran and then study their other important books to get a grasp of their minds.

Why do you think Iraq is such a mess for the USA? We can't tell the peaceful from the non-peaceful because, quite literally, guys will go out on the weekends killing Americans and then serve them coffee Monday through Thursday and you'd just never guess that the cute kid who brings you your caffeine hit with a big smile has a hobby of garroting soldiers.
Oh, and I am on record saying that the Kurds, who are also muslims of a sort, are great people. They do not subscribe to this jihadi BS and while they're not so keen on the Jews they don't mind being nice to them.
I guess it bears mentioning that most muslims refuse to consider the Kurds as muslims which is why I never cite them as muslims. They're kind of their own thing, I guess. But to the uninformed they are muslims indistinguishable from any other so I suppose they're a handy example of the kind of muslims for whom I hold zero antipathy.
