Brenda Brenda:
Why would I? you are the one claiming it wont be able to survive here. I call BS.

So that cats and dogs have been domesticated for ages makes it all ok? I call bs too. We MADE their natural habitat with us. Why not with other animals? Dogs can be very dangerous, as can cats be. What is the difference with having big cats around? In a couple of centuries, they will be what a dog is to us now. No biggie, right?

Here is what I actually said:
$1:
I doubt if beardy will know the diff, except of course that it'll have to be put down because there's no proper habitat available for it around here.
There is no proper habitat around here, because it's an alien species - we don't need the problems associated with introducing them.

Sure, it's all OK with dogs and cats being domesticated. It started as a mutually beneficial relationship, now most of that has been lost since we don't need cats to catch mice or dogs for hunting as much as we once did. Lots of country people still do tho.

If you can't tell the diff between having Boots around the house and a tiger - I guess there's not point in continuing this discussion. Tell me when you get back from La La land.

It ain't about if it can survive. It's about messing up the ecology if it does. Like when you have to wash your boat or they take certain plants away at the border.

If you won't let it sleep in your bed with you, eat your leftovers or kiss it with your lips it ain't a pet.

Let's ban fish.

Talk to the people in the great lakes about Asian Carp, or people in Florida about Kimono Dragons and Burmese Pythons. Those are loose in the everglades, and who loses in a fight between a Croc and a Python? All the native species in the Everglades that were just starting to rebound after man's intervention there.
