No he's talking about expansion of government. He's likely a libertarian. You know that's the impression I get reading that. I tend not to think that people are advocating idiocy right away. You should learn.

I do not believe that government dope will be cheaper. but that is just my opinion. you have your opinion, too.

1. It wouldn't be government dope. It would be produced by private enterprise legally.

2. Most of the cost of current dope is danger pay. When I say most I mean 80% plus. That goes away once it's legal. It would be much cheaper. Which is why current dealers do not want to see it legalized.

Of course this is %100 speculation.

No, actually, that's pretty much the way it would be (#1) and the way it is (#2). Debate them if you like.

Have you watched this little flick? Interviews with everybody from dealers to grow-op operators to police etc etc.

Other than a movie what do you have to back this up?

This is getting to be the equal of people folding their arms and simply saying:

"it's this way because I said it is so there!"

and that documentary was produced as a means of producing marijuana rather then asking questions about the problem. Documentaries made to push their own agenda can more often then not be safely ignored as bias at best.

Personal experience and friends that are in or have been in the industry. These guys.

If you were actually interested in learning about it, you'd watch that movie. Sure it has a bias, it also has a lot of really interesting interviews.

And if you actually had something to counter those points, you would have offered it I'm sure.

I'm just waiting for one person to back up their assertion that legalizing drugs will solve all these problems. If anyone has some real evidence I'd love to see it. Otherwise it's just speculation. It's easy to say legalize pot and tax it and criminals will be put out of business but what evidence is there that this is what will happen?

History, RUEZ.

Can you not think of a time not too long ago when a similar prohibition was tried then revoked?

You still havn't watched that film, so you can't really say you're waiting for anybody to back up anything.

Maybe you two would like to tell me what happened when one jurisdiction had no prohibition and it's neighbour did? You think Canada legalizing pot will reduce organized crime?

Fortunes were made by "Rum Runners" up until the end of Prohibition, at that point there was no profit to be made. [B-o]
