ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog:
We used to get fogged in, while we were on Kinmen. You couldn't see more than a foot in front of you. Surveying and ordanance removal was impossible. There were no flights on or off the island either.
I can imagine. These guys would have no re supply since the blizzard started so chocolate bars and cigarettes are now worth big bucks! They probably allready got the hunters dispatched to bag a few caribou.
That camp cant go much more then ten days max with out some kind of resupply of food and fuel, especially since we have had a shortage there since last year. The road and ice road are probably drifted ten feet deep as they gave up after day 2.

The only way to get fuel in is call up Peter's expediting and get his boys hauling 45 gallon drums out behind their sleds on kamiteks.About 25 drums a day,or bring in a delta.
At any rate....I'm glad I'm not there right now.

minus 57 windchill their predicting for there today. Thats close to the -63 we had x-mas eve.
