If by next year BLM hasn't burned itself out with it's idiocity,it will be an interesting pride parade - ie will the gays capitulate completely or will there be violence? Wait only for the FN's to jump in as well. A victims battle royal for supremacy.

Lay down with dogs and you'll wake up with fleas. Pride Toronto, and in any other city too, will find that out PDQ if they keep up any association with the likes of BLM. Unfortunately I doubt that BLM will burn out that quickly. There's no shortage of twits on the "activist" spectrum that will fall for their crap even if BLM spits in their faces they way they did to Pride yesterday. That compulsive need to bow & scrape & genuflect towards the alleged worse-off "victims" in the coalition of the "oppressed" is too well entrenched in the left-wing brain.

Total bullshit, how the hell does getting police out of the gay pride parade advance the cause of BLM? If anything it creates more of a separation between the police and the community. It's not like the people in the parade are actually "policing" anything.

The only "gain" in all this is that they have people talking about BLM again but I'm not sure this is a gain at all since it just paints them like a bunch of bullies and most of the talk is negative.

I wonder if they will try that crap next week at the Caribana parade where it would actually seem more fitting. I doubt it. Plus with Caribana's history of violence I'd say police are a welcomed fixture.

I completely understand the BLM's prominence in the US and why some people see it as necessary but I think it's adoption north of the border is little more than grandstanding and completely unnecessary.

There's issues in TO between blacks and police as well - I can see an organization like BLM trying for change there. But as usual, the over the top numbnuts take over and just turn it to shit. Same deal with the Panthers and Malcolm X, et al. They had a good point at first, but start with the violence and you're just going to alienate most people. I predict that BLM will just shoot themselves in the foot here, since there's way more gays than blacks, and they are the up and coming victim/status group at the moment.

Black Lies Matter is a F*****g Con founded by Shaun King the white guy who pretended to be a black. The movement doesn't care about the black community because if they did they would have been protesting the violence in Chicago even residents in the black community there will tell you that.

Congratulations. Who would ever have thought that this latest race to the bottom would turn one formerly disenfranchised group into mainstream while turning the other into a throwback to the militant sixties.

Well done BLM.ca you've done more for the LGT&C movement than any political party has done in the past 100 years but, in doing so you've shown yourself to be nothing more than just another group of thugs demanding things you have no right to, have no understanding of and can't ever fix with your childish antics.

Perceived issues between blacks and Toronto Police. A perception passed down from generation to generation that cops are all bad.

The same perception that prevents them from assisting police when a crime takes place but then blaming them when crime isn't solved.

No. The only issue blacks have is with blacks, but lets blame the police.
