It's also very sad the small number of condolences this thread has generated.

I agree PluggyRug, I thought there would be lots of hits on this thread by now.

However, as a member of the CF, I know that we will never forget our fallen brothers and sisters.

God Bless and Rest in Peace, we'll finished what you helped start.

Then I'll add my own condolences plus a message to the Taliban

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.". [Pulp Fiction -Julius]

Prolly because most of us dont know what to say,I cruised many poetry sites this afternoon trying to find one that was appropriate but couldnt, shed a few tears reading some though, still didnt have anything to post that reflected the respect I feel for these people that put there life and their family's on the line for their country. There must be a site where we can post condolence's,where the family can read it. I know when my niece was killed a few months ago the funeral home put up a site for just that. It was a good thing. Maybe someone couldpost a link if they find one.

Good Idea, Ziggy... perhaps the DND should put up a guestbook condolance website so ALL Canadians can relay their sadness and gratitude....
