Ah... nasty useless war machine of the US-made militaro-industrial complex...

Good article, with only one complaint. Please PM Harper, drop the "new" government BS. You're not new anymore, and it sounds lame. That is all.

I find it rather ironic that C-17 supporters aren't bitching about using AN-124s to deliver Leopard 2s to Afghanistan...I guess maybe it wasn't that bad after all. Too bad we spent 5 times as much on this plane, which is awesome, but far too expensive.

Perhaps it would be better to purchace airplanes for our Air Force from a country witch military aircrafts STILL violate our airspace to test our defensive capabilities as if we were still in the Cold War.
I have an even more staggering survival count HERE.

Oh I'm sorry I was just emulating your facetiousness. That was the intent of your post after all to make fun of others at their expense was it not? As I recall it was the price tag not the utility that was the issue when the debate was on the purchase. Also, it wasn't only the Russian and US heavy lift that was being looked at FYI.
P.S. The sig is not there to mock, it's there to grieve.

My in-laws live very close to Trenton and was able to convince the MP's and Traffic Techs to let me have a peek at the first one last weekend. There was also a USAF MAC on the ramp.
A truly nice bit of kit that extends the CF capability in leaps and bounds. Now we can actually deploy the much vaunted DART, plus on the flip side it means we can deploy an MBT anywhere on the planet within 24 hrs.
Ooo ra!
