Anyway, other than that, you obviously did not get my point why they are no different than we are, or that the Nazi's were basicly no different than we are.

Let me try to explain it one more time. We fight for a cause. THEY fight for a cause. The one cause is completely opposite to the other. We think we fight for what we think is good fot them. They fight for what they think is good for them.
We kill innocent people (sadly enough). They kill innocent people. We kill their soldiers. They kill our soldiers.
Still, all for the cause the different parties believe in.

To go back to the topic at hand, as you might have read in my first post, I find this a tough one. Does that mean I am anti-military? Not at all. I hope this mans life is not ruined by this. I also hope all men and women come home safe. And I certainly hope my kids will NOT join the army. Not because I am anti-military, but because I am fucking selfish and do not want my kids dead.

All well and good, but as I said in more than one post, and I am not going to get sarcastic about not understanding it (the way others may) WE the Canadian Military do not have anywhere in our SOP's or RO's or doctrine ANYTHING that says we will target non combatants, unlike the enemy. We don't even use mines any more, because they kill without distinction, keep in mind those of you who have never been to this place, you really only hear in the media about the IED's that kill us, you NEVER hear about the hundreds that the fuckers plant thet kill local non combatants (Kids, women, old people, donkeys) that happen along before we get there and run over them.
We also don't send the newest Private in the Company into a crowdwed market or bus to blow himself up, and kill multiple non combatants, just to show that we mean buisness and to get our point across, both methods are however, are currently in use by our enemy.

I believe they need to investigate this more....We dont know who the witnesses are, if they are Afgan forces, well I would take that with a grain of salt just because they can be bought out by the Taliban. (Check out how much they get paid and if they get the perks of an opium field in trade). I also would want to ask if this Man just lost some friends, not recently but in all of this campaign. They are human. period. Not every "warrior" or "soldier" is Taliban. Not every "warrior" rapes women and children. The are human. I guess being born in a religious country with religious laws makes you less than a human.
