CommanderSock CommanderSock:

Jack Layton in charge of Canada's economy

Do you think the Liberals want to carry that baggage around for eternity?

There is a small phenomenon called "political re-alignment". Things change, seats will be shed, what could start as a coalition today could become 1 united party down the road. It could be positive, because it could lead to the eventual destruction of the BQ as we know it. It could mean a more united Canada, but perhaps more politically stratified one.

It would lead to the destruction of western Canada before the destruction of the BQ,
but that's what the goal is of the left anyways.

watch this video at the one minute mark its enough to make one sick to your stomach 8O
All Canadians should be worried with this deal...the dollar will be 40 cents next week when this spreads around the world.http://watch.ctv.ca/news/clip117124#clip117124

What? What is so scary? Destruction of Western Canada? I doubt it. You're just being paranoid. When Harper won you didn't see Ontario/Quebecers crying foul and crying separatism and bitching. You know what, people got on with their fucking lives.

I don't support a coup de tat either. I'd prefer to just have another election, either a vote for the conservative, or the united left. But if the United left were to win, just get on with your life.

why should Quebec and Ontario be scared of Harper?

He does and gives more to them than Alberta and western Canada.

Quebecois and Ontarioites even vote for him.

Yes, and a few subsequent others. I don't agree with Finance + Anything NDP, and I certainly (blood pressure goes up) dont agree with 'more money for Quebec', but I don't agree with many of Harper's policies so a mild 'meh' goes through my mind.

I dont agree with lots of Harper policies either but the guy won the election fair and square, time for some to put their big girl panties on and let him try govern the country instead of crushing those sour grapes and crying over the loss of lib power.

I agree, I don't support a coupe de tat. However he knows he is in a minority government. If he is to govern he needs to consent of other parties to pass bills. He cannot bulldoze his way through all the other parties.

You keep saying "let the man govern". What the fuck does that mean? Let him do whatever the fuck he wants as if he has all 300 seats. Fuck that. He needs to know his boundaries. This is his doing. He could have passed a good budget without the whole party financing part and dollar per vote. But noooo, he wants to cripple the opposition instead. Well, there ya have it. What else did you expect?

I'm glad you woke up Zig. Hey they were willing to pit East against West, and rape us to get back in, that didn't work so what did you expect. So now their willing to sodomise the whole Country.

But don’t feel bad, there's people here that think this deal was worked out in a few hours yesterday. ROTFL

Kinda sad actually to see them go this low. Must still be drooling over lost entitlements.

It still has economic policies that affect the country. Harper brought this upon himself. I have no pity for this stupidity.

This has nothing to do with being entitled. How does a democracy function if only the rich or those with cash to spare are represented?? Answer me that!

You could be talking about the liberal party there for all I know.

Or maybe you mean the unions.

[quote]

of course it is..do you want him to throw money at the Auto industry without hearing the US plan for it? that would be like throwing money in the crapper if the US let's it sink. Both governments have requested the Auto industry to table a report by Dec 5 outlining their production and finance plans before they make a decision.

The Canadian economy is the strongest out of the G8 why jump the gun and start promising money that might not be needed. When Harper met with the Premiers last month they all came to a consensus about infrastructure projects and funding for them, it takes a little time to work out the details for such a plan. An infrastructure plan would take months to have any impact on the economy...waiting until Feb isn't going to make a difference. The Libs have been planning this BS since October they were just waiting for the first opportunity to start the BS.

You got the wrong part of my quote. His economic policy has been fine, as far as I'm concerned, let the auto industry fail. Fuck them. Never cared.

I'm talking specifically about party funding within this bill. Why try to cripple to opposition at such a sensitive time? Why? Fucking Harper, why? What is fucking wrong with him. It's almost like Obama saying the first thing he will do is to remove the $80 million that a presidential candidate is entitled to to run his campaign because he knows he's better at raising money, so might as well cement an easy victory for 2012. That is what Harper is doing.

Fuck him. Let the government fall.

However I can now see that Harper has rolled back on those bits of legislation and has retreated, also has pushed the date for voting on the bill to Dec 8. I think he got the message.
