There is a small phenomenon called "political re-alignment". Things change, seats will be shed, what could start as a coalition today could become 1 united party down the road. It could be positive, because it could lead to the eventual destruction of the BQ as we know it. It could mean a more united Canada, but perhaps more politically stratified one.

Yes, and a few subsequent others. I don't agree with Finance + Anything NDP, and I certainly (blood pressure goes up) dont agree with 'more money for Quebec', but I don't agree with many of Harper's policies so a mild 'meh' goes through my mind.

I agree, I don't support a coupe de tat. However he knows he is in a minority government. If he is to govern he needs to consent of other parties to pass bills. He cannot bulldoze his way through all the other parties.

You keep saying "let the man govern". What the fuck does that mean? Let him do whatever the fuck he wants as if he has all 300 seats. Fuck that. He needs to know his boundaries. This is his doing. I'm talking specifically about party funding within this bill. Why try to cripple to opposition at such a sensitive time? Why? Fucking Harper, why? What is fucking wrong with him. It's almost like Obama saying the first thing he will do is to remove the $80 million that a presidential candidate is entitled to to run his campaign because he knows he's better at raising money, so might as well cement an easy victory for 2012. That is what Harper is doing.

However I can now see that Harper has rolled back on those bits of legislation and has retreated, also has pushed the date for voting on the bill to Dec 8. I think he got the message.
