Gunnair Gunnair:
Answer a question with a question day begins... now.

How about a link...

Youths douse man in paint thinner and set him on fire
$1:
A Calgary man says he's struggling to understand why a group of brazen thugs doused his 32-year-old son with paint thinner and set him on fire outside his Winnipeg home early Tuesday -- less than a week after he himself was swarmed and beaten there in the same neighbourhood.
"If they had thrown any more liquid on him, he would be dead by now," Ralph Sanderson said from a hotel room he was sharing with his son, Derek, now recovering from second- and third-degree burns.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the trendy neighbourhood of Wolseley around 4:30 a.m. local time.
Sanderson said his son called 911 after hearing noises in his backyard. When Derek went out to investigate, he said a group of three men, dressed in black and between the ages of 18 to 25, threw paint thinner on him and set him ablaze, said Sanderson.
"They (the 911 operator)told him to go outside and take a look and see what they were doing," he said. "That was probably the dumbest thing to do."
Sanderson said the group had broken into his son's car and had at least three containers of paint thinner with them.

Call Manitoba Public Insurance in the morning was the correct response.

Well you and Lemmy can escalate the robbery to homicide if you like. But you are the ones endangering your families.

How is it that I'm endangering my family by subduing an intruder in my home? :?

Because the gangsters are going to come back to teach you and yours a lesson. Now you've got that to deal with instead of getting a brand new TV for the price of a deductible.

Seems like a good reason to be legally allowed to shoot those little bastards. Instead you want us to hide in our houses and hope they don't come in before the police arrive 20 minutes after you call them.

So basically you are saying "bend over, it only hurts until they are done, then you get a consolation lollypop"

And what does this have to do with taking out someone who has broken into your house...oh wait, absolutely nothing. Quelle suprise!! There's a big difference between someone who is breaking into your car on the street and someone who has broken into your house. look up the word escalation.

I've seen enough episodes of Exhibit 'A' to know that you don't let someone get the opportunity to tie-up you and your family. Those are the folks that end up as victims on forensic sciences reality TV. You fucking put them on the run, or knock them unconscious or else you get tied up and dead long before their pals get to come back and teach you fuck all.

Yeah, all 6 of them. Good luck Mr. T. I hope your son sleeping in his bed doesn't have to defend himself thanks to your stupidity.

Wow... irrelevant. Completely irrelevant.

Do you even know what you're arguing about?

How do you know they don't plan to kill your entire family and then rob you? Not all 6 will still be in the house when their buddy drops dead from a point blank shotgun blast, they will be crossing the street pretty fast, to them you are just a easy source of money and not worth risking their lives.

Or... do nothing. Just as likely then the son sleeping in his bed may have to defend himself thanks to the father's stupidity.

not too many lament the fact that they did something, rather than did nothing. But it also seems the safety of his children and spouse is secondary to his own fears.

If someone is inside your house how do you know they plan to stop at just taking your stuff?
So it's better to just shoot them rather than take the chance?
YES
