I still can't understand why they would show all of the images and go into to such graphic detail in court, with the victim's families there. Why put them through all of that? If he pleaded innocent to any of the charges, I could understand it. But after reading off all the charges, and with him pleading guilty to every single one, that should be it until a date is scheduled for sentencing. I just do not understand the Canadian justice system. And then you add the victim impact statements. I mean we should already know how the families feel. Who needs victim impact statements? Each of the 80 or so charges that he pleaded guilty to, including the two murders carry set penalties, so why put anyone through more than what is necessary, especially the victim's families?
It's my understanding that this is being doen in preparations for sentancing.
