Dion should flip flop on the carbon tax, and call it an 'oxygen' tax. Afterall, theres 2 Oxygen for every carbon in CO2.

He can double his tax revenue, and the liberal zealots will still believe that it is 'revenue neutral'

I guarantee you, focus on health care, education and employment and you'll get majority...
The Green shift? being a liberal myself I'm sad to say it's the stupidest waste of time, I'm all up for saving the environment and all but to make that the center of your platform when there are so many other issues? these parties need to get their shit together if they want to appeal to voters.

I like them not for what they've done right, but for what they haven't screwed up. Thats one of the reasons I will not vote Liberal, I'm sick of their tendency to screw things up, and I will not consider voting Liberal again until they get rid of all of Chretien's old guard.

Martin may have called an investigation but Dion's first directive was to get back into power as soon as possible, and he brought back many of the same descredited ADSCAM cronies. Canadians lost trust with them because of ADSCAM and they did nothing to acknowledge or attone for that crime.
The best thing the Liberal party could have done was a big investigation and a purge of all the crooks and cronies. Instead, they slapped a new coat of paint on and got back into the race.

I guess the main issue is that the liberals have a record of stealing money so when ever they try to raise taxes for something, it comes off as a tax grab and the conservatives just can't handle money or the economy. And NDP has never really been given a chance to fuck up because they have never been elected.
Why have an election if nothing actually changes...
