I agree. The judge should have given at least the minimum of what the crown was seeking. 12-15 an unprecedented punishment? The crime was unprecedented.

During the trial, witnesses testified that the child lived in a "house of horrors" where she was sexually assaulted in a bathtub, handcuffed to furniture, shut in a basement, punched and denied water. One witness said the girl was so thirsty she drank plant fertilizer. There was also evidence she drank her own urine and was made to watch pornography.

Where the hell were these witnesses when the little girl was being abused? Why didn't they DO something?

Believe it or not Lily, It was 2 women that were renting rooms in the house and they were more concerned about getting kicked out of the house at the time to come forward. They waited until they moved out before telling the cops.

At least i think this is the case were that happened, there's getting to be to many to keep track of anymore.

I think this girl should be allowed to torture this man perhaps even kill him. Then she can go before the same judge and get a slap on the wrist, because after all the judge pointed out abuse begets abuse.

That is SO sick.

I remember a similar case a few years back. The parent's locked 2 children in a room for years. It wasn't until the youngest died that the authorities were alerted (he starved to death). The man that was boarding at the home didn't report it for the same reason - he "needed a place to live"

The boarders should also be tried and punished.

That makes no sense to me. (Well, neither does this crime, but . . .)

You call the cops they go to jail, you get the house to yourself. Everyone who 'witnessed' this should go to jail for not rendering assistance when this little girl needed it.

Guys like this one are the ones that need to have their crimes advertised in bold statements to all the inmates at the prison he attends. I'm sure a good number of them have daughters of their own, and would LOVE to teach this guy how to treat kids...
