Anybody who thinks nationalizing oil would mean cheaper prices at the pumps for Canadians is smoking the bong. How long would it take gov'ts to tax it right back up to where it is now? The attacks from the eco-errorists would have us paying the above the world price in no time......for the good of the world

Well that's the way to do it. Don't get want you want, start kicking and screeming like a 2 year old and threaten to seperate.

Typical Albertan, only thinks of himself.

I'm not from Alberta. I'm a Maritimer, born and raised in Halifax... However I do not wish for Alberta to leave our nation as it is their oil that fuels our Canadian economy....

Nice try at trolling though....

I'm just tired of being America's door mat and blamed for their problems all the time.

AND I'm tired of liberal fascists who blame all of Canada's (and for that matter the world's) problems on the United States of America....

USA >>Image<< stemmer

Trust me, you're the minority in Halifax. I know lots of folks from back east, and most have a very negative view of Albertans.

Besides, WTF makes you think that any province can just decide to vote to seperate. A separation of a province would take a vote from the Nation as a whole as it would effect everyone.

Alberta votes to leave, a dirty bomb will be blasted off the next day on the oil sands.

Nationalize the Canadian oil industry.

Quit sending off so much of "Canadian" resources south of the border. Should adopt a Canadian first policy.

Build more refineries in Canada and lower the price of gas at the pump to help the middle class.

Don't you mean "Nationalize Alberta's oil industry"? Sorry, been there, done that, didn't work. National Energy Program

Yeah, Alberta's OIL. Like Saskatchewan, Northern B.C., and the Artic does not hold untold amounts of undiscouvered oil reserves. Not to mention Newfoundland Grand Banks.

Canada is rich in oil and belongs to all Canadians.

You're actually right but point is natural resources are provincial jurisdiction. If you want to nationalize the oil and gas industry I suggest you start by talking with Danny Williams.

Fuck them in the west. Their heads are getting too big for their own damn good. A little gas shortage will bring them down to earth a bit.
