North Korea is a joke. Even if they could develop an ICBM (which I doubt), it would be of low quality and accuracy.
I agree that the only potential threat in Asia currently is China, but even they are a paper tiger. They can prattle on about this or that, but the fact is they don't have the military capability to do any of it. Barring a total collapse of the US, it'll be decades before they will be a superpower.
