it's a tragedy the unrest had to happen now, with covid. people are desperate. with something real to be outside in the streets about, unlike those maga loons telling people to cough in their face.

america is the worst possible place for covid to have hit. the idea that it was manufactured is only so tempting because of how incredibly susceptable america is. between the murderous individualists and the alienated bonemealed working class that has been pushed past the limits for decades, it clearly couldn't be worse conditions for the people. and while race is the leading battle cry for why this happened, people are in the street because of that power dynamic. the powerful crushing the powerless, the american way.

it's just fucking sad, all of it. and it's surreal. i've never seen so much stark support for something like this. even open opponents seem basically speechless aside from the general tired dogwhistles about the looting

the whole narrative about white anarchists is very likely astroturf. though there is plenty to be said about the purely aesthetic theoryless larpers in the anarchist movement. they sure love the smashy smashy but not the reading so much...

regardless of this latest convenient divisionary angle, blacks, whites, latinos, all are present, police precincts in their eyes. the main group missing are the rich people.

but as i said before though, black americans are more class conscious and more organized. they should be leading the charge in america for the people's liberation. on the other side of the coin, pleas of black capitalism should be opposed as not being a solution to the problem here. there's plenty of black cops, black ceos, black drone operators, yet this still happens and shit still sucks.

- apparently Donnie Dumbfuck tweeted out "#MAGANight" in some sort of attempt to rally his followers to start some sort of Krystallnacht against the protesters; no word yet from anywhere yet as to whether or not it was successful; regardless of that he tucked his tail between his legs and ran off to Florida late this afternoon; if it results later on in the club house at Mar-A-Lago getting invaded and burnt to the ground then I, well, certainly won't be disappointed to see the footage of something like that
- there's comedic footage making the rounds of some dipshit (not sure which city) getting swarmed by protesters after he got out of his car with a bow and prepared to start shooting arrows at them; the police took him away and his vehicle got trashed and set on fire by the crowd; a country where there's literally more firearms in it than than there are people and someone tries to pick a fight with a bow and arrow? jesus christ....

It's past or getting near curfew time in many cities. It should be interesting to see how that gets handled. It isn't a simple matter of arresting people violating the curfew, not when there are hundreds or thousands of people involved.

More fires. More looting. More anger.

No end in sight yet.

It's too bad the USA does not have a leader to address the nation and appeal for peace.

That's a very good point. Excessive force is excessive force no matter the health of the recipient. Kneeling on this mans neck for that period of time was unnecessary and completely unconscionable. So, hopefully a jury comes to the same conclusion because, if they don't it'll make the Rodney King riots look like a weekend with Pollyanna at Disneyland.

The sad part is that there are legitimate protesters trying to get their message across but it's the assholes who are using this as an excuse to commit assaults, arson, robbery and general mayhem that are getting all the attention and feeding the culture of divisiveness when people should be at least attempting to come together to stop things like this from happening no matter the race creed or colour of the victims.
