How would you know if it really them? It's okay if you can identify them, but if you can't how do you prevent fraud?

"Opposition parties initially supported the proposed legislation, but later backed off when the issue was more closely examined." What that really means is that their minority masters told them not to support the bill

Why stop there, what's next passport photos, drivers license..

Everyone show up with your favorite holloween mask, or paper bag on your head. Next election.

So fucking stupid.

I'm all for our country to be a melting pot of cultures from all over the world, but jesus we have to have some limits. Are we really that eager to piss it all away ?

So what we all should do is change our name to something islamic and wear veils to go vote, then we can vote multiple times and possably get a government that won't bend over backwards to appease minorities.

The reality is that people can already vote by mail.
I don't like it but I can't see any easy solution here.

Maybe that is the solution though.. If you do not wish to identify yourself, vote by mail. If you have no problem lifting your veil, and identify, come vote in person.

Or.... let them vote in their veil. Are you that concerned about voter fraud?
Should all the guys shave their beards too?

This is so ridiculous. Why do we even let these people in? We bring this sh*t on ourselves. If we screened immigrants better, and didn't let in people who were so uptight about their religion that they have to cover themselves entirely, we wouldn't have this problem at all.

Eventually, these people or their children have to become Canadian, and Canadians (let's face it) don't walk around in public covered in burkas head to toe. That said, those people who are already here who wish to do that cannot be stopped. That would be a violation of their rights. However, to participate in a civic event such as an election, certain measures must be taken, and these measures should not allow for this.

I don't think we should be letting in religious freaks. Call me a racist or whatever the hell you want, but is this what you want for your country? Not me. I have no problem with any religion in particular, but I have a problem with people who want to come to this country expecting never to have to change anything about the way they live.

Harper is only doing this so that he doesn't offend all the minnority interest groups before an election that could literally come at anytime.

Beard makes me look a lot different. Hides my features. Makes me look shifty.

Wow. What's with the angry left? For arguments sake, let's say these people are hardworking tax payers willing to take the crappy jobs that the left leaning welfare state is unwilling to enforce on those who are too lazy to work when the money is free. For argument's sake that is...
