You got that right Banff! Sure I'm paying 1% less on GST, but my income tax jumped $50 a month, so his 'cut' will cost me more than if he'd just left things alone...

You mean that income tax cut, in place for 3 months that the Liberals used to buy votes?

Nope, I mean the fact that my personal income tax jumped $28 per pay cheque since the Cons got into power...Good thing I get $75 in GST rebates every three months! That's almost $400 extra out of my pocket annually.

I thought I was getting a tax break. Oh wait, that's right, the Cons only cut taxes for those making more than $100,000 a year...

Oh you can bet I know exactly what you mean . This whole game of dropping one tax and replacing it with another has become more harmful than good .I wish I knew where I could find the article but even the US thinks Income Tax could be removed completely and replaced with comsumer taxes ...Mind you I have a few of my own ideas of where to drop taxes and boost them up in other areas so I guess I'm no better , but when it comes down to the crunch my vote is dependant on at least 2 out of a meager half dozen areas .The pointlessness of my vote is not whether those areas are cut but if they are suitable enough ...having said that and the odds that the areas will come down enough , I would say neither the Cons or Liberals will be getting my vote but for other reasons it is freakishly possible that the liberals would be lucky enough to get it . My one vote doesn't really matter so what the hell who cares XD
