Did anyone read and
comprehend this story? They are NOT married...
So says the common-law husband of the 25-year-old Longueuil mother of three....

common law by whose law ?
I'd be surprised if Saudi Arabia recognizes some form of common law;
considering 2 unmarried people arent allowed to be in the same room
without a chaperon.........
In Canada they could be common law, but that doesn't mean they didn't get married religiously (which isn't recognized by Canada)
$1:
To create a religious contract between them, it is sufficient that a man and a woman indicate an intention to marry each other and recite the requisite words in front of a Muslim priest
They just have to say a few words in front of a Imam and and they are married in the eyes of any Islamic country.
