$1:
"In January, we did not support a coalition, and we do not support a coalition today or tomorrow," Ignatieff told reporters in Ottawa.

For Mr Ig history apparently began last January. That way he doesn't have to worry about the Coalition of the Unwashed last December or the Sponsorship scandal, the defining moment of the Liberal Party in the last half-century.

Time to let the sponsorship scandal and the coalition go.. get over it, its done.
Instead of the torys picking the same scabs all the time and attacking people personally, why don't they put their platform forward and tell us how they are going to dig us out of the mess they have put us in? If we waisted our time talking about the terrible years of scandal and deceit of mulroney we would be stalled in the 80s .. time to move on .. and oh ya, , incase you didn't know Trudeau is dead!

Jesus liars have no shame at all do they?

Kenboy get this through your tiny little head: Harper DID NOT CREATE THE ECONOMIC MESS...further we ARE NOT IN A MESS NOW... We're TOP OF THE WORLD AT THE MOMENT in terms of this WORLDWIDE ECONOMIC CRISIS.

I mean a sure sign you got nothing is when you have to make up transparently, self-evidently incorrect bullshit just to have something to whine about.

Ten months ago Iggy supported a coalition. Now he says he doesn't, at least to us. If the Libs stay in power by getting support from the Dips and Bloc in return for agreeing to certain of their issues, to me that's a coalition.

Not far off from this one.

The coalition was as big a disaster as Dion was and Uggy will bo anything to get away from both.

Yes, Trudeau is dead, and you still can't spell. Doesn't mean we won't keep bringing it up.

It's funny to watch how delusional and hypocritical you've become even in the last month.

Look like this election possibility is bring you to the breaking point, cause you lash out, call "bullshit" on every post without even offering anything.

Relax, ken....take another shower and enjoy your day. It's only politics.

I'll accept this promise in the same breath I did Harper's promise not to appoint senators or call early elections...

Same old, same old.
They said it before and they'll lie about it again and again because all that matters is getting into power and getting to that gravey trough.

Yep, but as usual, you're neglecting the boys in blue pigging out at the trough.

Harper made all sorts of promises about accountability and being different than 'those other guys' yet at every turn, he has shown he is as desperate for political power as everyone else.

How else do explain his sudden flip flops on floor crossing, senate appointments and 'fixed' elections?

The answer is you don't (at least to anyone not addled by blue kool-aid).

The real story here is how Iggy comes out with a video of Harper saying some pretty straight forward stuff that no one would be surprised at and he calls him 'two-faced' simply because he wants to get a majority - the job of any leader.
Well it really backfired on him because now he's in the position of having to defend himself (promising not to form a coaltion which even the faithful know is BS).

He screwed up. He wanted to use Harpers words against him and ends up having to defend himself against those words instead. I'm betting that wasn't the reaction he was looking for.

No one, including the politicians, want an election. The problem is that they need to make Parliament work and to do so will require they make compromises that are not acceptable to their political base. The NDP took pride in not supporting the Harper government all this time and to change tact now would fly in the face of that. Harper's base will not allow any notion of Harper in talks with separatists or socialists so that is right out and the liberals can not be seen towing the line supporting Harper. Like it or not, this parliament is doomed and it may not have been the intent to go to the polls but that is going to happen. Harper is already short by 10 seats for a majority and it will be amazing if he hold even one seat in Quebec so he needs 20 seats from somewhere and of all the seats changing sides they will be from the NDP back to the liberals if anything. We could be looking at a minority Liberal Parliament propped up with Bloc support, coalition or not with the NDP decimated to the sidelines.

Nobody wants to mention that the agreement he signed with the Bloc and NDP has never been rescinded.

I wouldn't trust this guy at all.

He's never had to work to get anything in Canadian politics. Never.

Wouldn't it be nice to lose the election and still become PM when he forms a coalition? It would follow his trend quite nicely.
