I know what ya mean. These guys are breaking the law, which is there to protect us against deadly germs in our meat supply and it can't happen anywhere except on unregistered outlets.
http://www.nytimes.com/1997/08/13/us/tons-of-hamburger-may-have-deadly-bacteria-us-warns.htmlUh, the point of the article you linked describes how the US government took immediate action (most likely with the cooperation of the company that produced the contaminated meat) upon discovery of the problem to prevent people from getting sick.
This is a situation where individuals are operating a business both the individuals and the government are fully aware of the health risks and unsanitary conditions, only for the government to delay proper action about it because of "political concerns".
Comparing apples and oranges, no?
Uh, my point was the concept of "bigger fish to fry." This burger joint is illegal, but legal outfits poison quite a few each year. Perhaps worrying about burgers from cattle "finished" knee deep in their own shit and kept "healthy" with antibiotics is more important than one tipi (oh my God...Indians again...) selling burgers.
