All kidding aside.. immigrants enjoy alot of rights and freedoms when they come to Canada.. they should sign an agreement to uphold Canadian values and not try and force change on us.. keep their religion,, but keep it private to their own group.

You get a guide with your applicationforms (or download it from http://www.cic.gc.ca) and that says what Canada is about. The moment you sign your papers, you promise to be an addition to the country, and obey the law. If you have to attend an interview, and you say you will not live up to Canada's rules and regulations (which nobody ever says of course) you will not be let in, your visa will be denied.

But, since at the moment you get your visa, you are never checked anymore, when you land they are not asking anything but about your goods to follow, you are free to do whatever you want...

Thanks Brenda.. I will check out our immigration policy here in Quebec.. dont mean to offend anyone, but I think when you choose a country to be your new home you should abide by the standards that exist when you arrive.. we have had some issues here with some groups.. hence the signing of the promise to respect Quebec culture and values..
which guarantees that women are treated with equality and the dignity they deserve
