It is lame with only those two. Time for a complete reboot - hire new people, include women and minorties is those deemed eligible and go in a different direction. Top Gear had turned into silly car porn instead of an informational show. Doesn't mean it has to be dry, but jeez present some actual useful information, make the tests fair. For instance they just love their Range Rovers - compare them to a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in actual off road situations, instead of the pussy tests they put them thru then brag about how good they are. Limit the number of supercar tests, test real cars.

Yea, it would be lame without him. I like May. Not so much Hammond. But Clarkson was the 'glue'.

Some of the funniest shows are when they take that advice. ;)

(It's supposed to be supercar porn!) It's the only way many of us will ever see these cars!

I can't see it working without all three. It's their personality differences and competitive humour that makes it work. The show may go on with 3 others but it would always be compared to the original since the format would be similar.

It'll suck out loud because BBC will neuter the program just like they've been itching to do for years.

It wouldn't be the same I agree. Clarkson was what made that show.

This.

They'll get some diversity, and the show will bomb in 6 months.

Did anyone here watch the US Top Gear ?

Same format, a lot of the same cheap car stunts, and the show utterly sucked,
because the 3 presenters just didn't gel.

Very few shows copied from the UK do well in North America. Even when they use the same actors as leads. Just not the same.

Same with Top Gear Australia. Not a bad show, but they kept switching out presenters and there never was any cohesion.

As far as Top Gear US, I like Tanner Foust, but he didn't gel well with the other guys. He did another show with Paul Tracy called "Battle of the Supercars" and they really seemed to gel. Don't know why PT wasn't on Top Gear US . . .

Yeah I like Tanner cause he can actually drive. Wood was good because he had knowledge. I have no idea why The last guy whos name escapes me was on there. He couldn't drive and had no more than normal car knowledge. It's like they tried to get someone funny. Why not get someone funny who knows what they're doing?

North Americans don't do that passive-aggressive irony very well.

But they just keep trying. :P It's almost like the American TV industry hasn't had an original idea since the 1950's. ROTFL
