There was a review of her book and a good interview of her by CHRISTIE BLATCHFORD at the globe&mail. She sounds like another gold digging bimbo and Bernier was an idiot for hooking up with her.

This is how Bernier was characterized in a CBC interview that was aired last nite. His former girlfriend Julie Couillard exposed a few tidbits from her book in this tv interview. Now let's get this straight, Couillard comes across as being from a fairly low class background and she is not very articulate. She was formerly married to a Montreal rocker bike club member, a known criminal organization. This in itself proves the lack of character and judgement of Bernier. Ms. Couillard states (paraphrased) - I was thought "good enough" to hobnob with the likes of George Bush and his wife, but when the scandal hit the press about Bernier leaving top secret and sensitive government documents at my house, I was derided by every name in the book. Yes indeed, the low class Ms. Couillard certainly was thought good enough by the Harper government to accompany the then foreign minister on visits with dignitaries back in '07. Given her checkered past and general demeanor, she would have been a laughing stock of finger pointing if she had accompanied a minister of any credible Canadian government in years past. This ex-girlfriend is a red flag, she points to the fact that Bernier is incompetent, as is his boss, and neither has the integrity or character that should be demonstrated by a Canadian MP.
