OnTheIce OnTheIce: 2Cdo 2Cdo: So if their is no "injury" assaulting a child is okay in your world. Of course not. You guys see things so black and white. If you don't support full arrest, charges and jail, you must support the guy. Give me a break. It's a despicable act, one that should prevent this guy from ever being a coach again. Really? Coach trips kids in a hand shake line, causes a broken wrist, and gets a by from the law in yours eyes? Wow, and I thought the leftie of the lefties were apologists...

This article seems to verify the fact that the player's wrist was broken. "To brace himself from hitting the ice, [the player] put both his wrists out and sustained minor injuries to his forearm and wrists," Gidda said in an interview. The player is reported to have broken his wrist.http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-c ... layer.html

Wow, and I thought the leftie of the lefties were apologists... Did you need me to repeat it again? Yes, that's what I think and it's not going to change regardless of how many times you or anyone else questions it. If we're going to proceed with charges to the coaches, police should investigate the entire game and actions of all coaches and parents.

$1: But seriously, there's no need for police to be involved. Your post from page 1. Apparently in your world physical assault is not a crime.

I don't think charges are necessary and according to the mother, she doesn't feel it's necessary either. You can talk till you're blue in the face, but my opinion isn't going to change. However, if you are going to get the police involved, you might as well look at the game and the actions of all people.

2Cdo 2Cdo: Did anyone else assault anyone? Why are you rolling your eyes? You don't think that if other crimes were committed at the same game are worthy of investigation? If any took place, do those get a pass because of this asshole of a coach?

I'll take it then that you agree that there was no one else committing an assault, because so far you've danced all around the question.

There are more crimes than just someone physically assaulting someone. You have all types of mischief, verbal abuse, etc. Based on the comments from the mother and the video of the fans and coaches getting into it, I'm betting the parents and coaches weren't just sitting quietly. If the police are there investigating video and witness statements, let's round up all of those who were in the wrong.
