So a boss offers a voice actor 8 million. Who is the dumbass? The boss or the voice actor for taking it?
God, you people are so stupid.
Nobody is calling the voice actors a dumbass for taking 8 million, anybody would take that. What is being said Brenda which you are not getting is that 8 million is a lot of money for what they do. They were the highest paid voice actors in existance apparently. The fact they get that reduced doesn't make them victims. It makes them normal paid voice actors. The only thing being said Brenda is we don't give two shits if they get there paychecks reduced as they are not victims. Despite being treated as such apparently. I don't blame them for wanting to keep that paycheck, neither do I blame them for wanting apart of the merchandise sales so they'll accept the decreased paycheck. Only thing I'd argue about them is if they try to make themselves out to be victims like you're doing.
What you are failing to understand that everyone gets paid what they are worth. Apparently, they were worth 8 million. That YOU think that is a WAY overpaid does not mean their boss thought so.
They paid it, and now they want to cut it in half. NO ONE would accept it. Why should they? I'm not saying they are victims at all. They came with a good counter offer, but FOX rather pulls the plug than even consider it.

Fox overpaid them, that was there right as it is there right to reduce there pay. Unless boss's can only adjust pay that INCREASES it but it's wrong if they do the opposite. As for fox bullying them into submission, you are probally right but as I said I don't care. As you said Fox wants to make more money and if the show isn't doing good as in fox wanting to reduce the simpsons production costs. That's there buisness. Those voice actors are employees of fox so long as they work on a show funded and owned by fox.
This whole thing is about Fox wanting to reduce the overwhelming money they put into the show such as production costs and how much they pay voice actors. With every voice actor getting paid 8 million per season, I don't blame them. Expecially if the show's going down hill which it most likely is. After a long run of the Simpsons voice actors getting overly paid for there work, they have been adjusted to a normal level sallery for what they do just like any other show. Heck, even normal actors who have to lend much more to a show than just there voice would be lucky to get even half that 8 million.
Every show that comes under tougher financial situations gets there budget overlooked. The simpsons is no different.
