The correct phrase would be, Ramadan Mabarak ( as in Hosni Mubarak ) or Ramadan Kareem ( as in Kareem Abdul Jabar )

And yes thank you. Although in this bilistering heat and long hours its going to be very tough for a lot of people. Fortunately I sleep in late and really don't have to go out much during the day if I don't want to.

Now that I know better .. Ramadan Mabarak .. and may the days be short and the nights long ( as I know you aren't supposed to eat during the day ).

Thanos Thanos:
Dippers are. Dippers always love a good terrorist.

Chretien loved them more. So much so he even rescued one, and now look at the horseshit Canada has to deal with because of it.

Everyone say "Thanks Jean!"

1) Chretien was a tool. And a choad. And a general all-around dipshit.

2) Another $2 worth of bullets and less interest on the part of American soldiers in taking prisoners in Afghanistan certainly would have saved Canada from a big ol' Khadr-induced headache these last eight or so years.

Oh, I don't know. Summary executions of kids present their own headaches in the long term.

Due legal process with right of appeal, separates us in Canada from those barbarians we are 'supporting'. When we adopt barbarity we become a little like the bad guys. Not good.

Even that piece of utter shite, Khadr, deserves a fair and transparent trial. He is a Canadian Citizen. Therefore due equal treatment before and under the law, and equal protection and benefit of the law without discrimination. (Sec 15 of the Charter).

Our laws and jusriprudence keep us free. Lets not be like the enemy, we can still beat them by doing it the morally right way.

While it is true that giving Mr Khadr what Lavrenty Beria would call "The Personal Touch" (a round in the back of the skull) would be more efficient it tends to cause some PR problems later on particularly when Americans are involved.

It is better to put this mutant on trial by law and convict him for the world to see.

We are giving him due process. His case is being handled by the courts.

He didn't break any laws inside of Canada so he can't be charged or tried for anything once he gets back here. The trial he got in Gitmo is the only thing that's attached the proper label of "terrorist" to him. The problem is with certain people in Canada right now who obviously think that Canadian citizenship is a blanket get-out-of-jail-free card that provides a permanent exemption from meaningful legal consequences if a Canadian chooses to behave like a criminal or terrorist when they're outside of Canadian legal jurisdiction. Just like with that nutty bitch who got stuck in Mexican prison, or that murdering druggy on death row in Montana, and now with Omar the Martyr, these people think that the only crime committed is when the our government doesn't immediately come charging to rescue of any Canadian outside of Canada who's been murdering or robbing other people.

Responding to your musing.

That's all.
