Bettman said the new deal will feature fewer Toronto Maple Leafs games during the regular season, with more dates being allocated for other Canadian teams.
Fine.

Now you Anti-Leafers can STFU. Thanks. You don't have to watch us anymore.

This just means that I won't be able to watch my Leaf Games on TV anymore. *groan* And you can't get a Leafs TV subscription unless you are in Ontario.

This sucks. I mean, it's a good thing for hockey fans. But now I have to change my schedules and will have to watch it on a computer in shitty quality instead of on TV in perfect quality... Blah.

Finally! Maybe I'll get to see more than one Sens game a year! I'm tired of watching the Maple Laughs suck all year long.

Now maybe I'll get to see the Sens suck in the playoffs!

Glad to see HNIC stay where it belongs. It started there and should remain there...."FOREVER!"

As a side note, anyone watched any of the games on "VS"? Is it just me or are the announcers they have are just, well, idiots? Where did they get these guys? They know nothing about hockey, must have been basketball announcers or something.

I can see the HNIC viewership in Ontario when Toronto plays Buffalo and Ottawa plays Boston on the same night.

1.2 million viewers for the Toronto game.
12 viewers for the Ottawa game.
:P

Caught a bit of one when TSN was surfin the NHL.... pretty sad indeed.... along the lines of the NBC announcers who spend most of THEIR time explaining the rules... :?

True, I've even heard them refer to forechecking as, "they're doing a good job at the full court press". What the hell? Thank the lord for HNIC and they guy's on Sportsnet.

At least, the Sens are IN the playoffs :D

I never understood why CBC couldn't show all Saturday Sens game on the regional Ottawa CBC - I know it sucks for the rest of the Sens fans outside Ottawa, but with digital cable everyone outside Ottawa could still get it. Is there anything said about keeping the 2 seniles there, Cole and Neale?

And Ripcat, those 12 viewers for the Ottawa game would actually KNOW hockey

SO far I'm not even sure the Leafs will be there to be the ones to choke you. Damn, :(

Maybe next year we'll have the playoff fun, :D

If you connected to all of Canada:

13 viewers for the Ottawa game...

Full Court Press?

Sounds liek terminology for ironing a Basketball in the middle of a Volleyball court....

Yes, thank god for HNIC.

Expecially since TSN sucks and shows like, 4 Leafs games a year, :(

Fun fact: Every Saturday this season, except for 2, have been a Toronto Game first on the CBC. I don't complain, :D
