RUEZ RUEZ: DerbyX DerbyX: Wow. Other people around the world find something us Canadians do as vile, unethical, and just plain wrong. Of course we respond with a litany of retorts supporting our actions while simultaneously arguing our lives are our business.
We need to practice what we preach. So does this mean you'll never complain about the U.S. in Iraq? Foreign policy is something else. I'm not bitching about US gun laws, health care plans or zoning laws. I have in fact supported them even when it negatively impacts Canada. On the reciprocal course I'd like to know why so many Canadians get so pissed off and claim its only our business when other nations judge our actions wrongfully? Self-righteous fits the bill. I think other countries forcing us to abandon the seal hunt, treat our natives better, and out and out treat the environment better should be the smack to the head to smarten up. Our good name came not from what we did but from what we didn't do and that was namely not being so judgemental about everybody else.

We need to practice what we preach. They can say what they want. But we can tell them, and indeed should tell them, to go die.

Why is our business only our own when we dictate to others how to conduct theirs? We have no right criticizing afghanistan (and yes I mean the taliban), iran, iraq, or bloody mars when we are among the worst countries for accepting criticism. Like I said. We sort our own lives out first and above all provide an example before we even start to think we can dictate behaviour to others.

If someone says we are doing something wrong, we take a look, decide we aren't, then tell them they suck. It's not like we are stopping people from criticising us.

Derby, we can tell them to fuck off and mind there own buisness because they are hypocrites. The Seal Hunt is no different than any other fur trade or infact any other hunting at all. The only reason people take a interest in this is because luckily for the seals they happen to be cute no matter what age but people kill deer unhumainly just for the fun of it. People kill other animals for there fur and profit from it. Most animals who are not killed painlessly.
Yet there is no public outcry on that besides PETA and nobody banning that. People are happy enough to buy there dirty euro furs but not those evil Canadian Seal Products even though the buisness is the exact same. So basicly they can all just fuck off and piss off.

England went through this for fox hunts. Predictably Canada argued that they were wrong and should stop. There is a damn good reason that only 4 countries boycotted UN aboriginal resolutions. USA, AUS, NZ, and CDN. The four countries with the worst atrocities on record. No. Canada cannot ignore the international community yet claim its support when its in our favour.

Especially the bolded. After saying that everything else you have said is suspect.

We need to practice what we preach. Lol. This is funny comming from you.... .. but I also see the seal hunt as an anacronism and an awfully inefficient way if culling a population. Is it seal population control or keeping alive a buggywhip industry? We have westerners who want to park an entire province to save a bear and froth at the mouth when they hear that some foreign hunter will spend $10k to bag a grizzly, all happening in a place that is so inaccessable that it might as well be eastern ice flow. Obama, those retards on FOX and all the rest can say what they like about Canada but it's our weakness that shows when we let it react like scolded children.

Luckily for the Europeans, they were able to pull out and wash their hands of Africa and the total fuckfest they created there.

This is off topic. Would on of the supporters of this hunt tell me if this is a a viable fur industry or an species cull? I also think it's barbaric but I want to know what it's supporters are calling it.

I also think it's barbaric but I want to know what it's supporters are calling it. It's the only source of income for alot of newfies. And it's not barbaric. It looks barbaric, but the seals are dying immediately. There are actually no legit bad points against the seal hunt.
